Smart Active Monitor (SAM) provides remarkably accurate monitoring

Genelec's Smart Active Monitor (SAM) technology takes this into account by allowing the 8351A studio monitor to automatically calibrate its level, timing, and equalization to your room, ensuring that you hear the original nuances of your source accurately, without color or distortion. By using the highly-intuitive Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software, you can control an entire network of 8351A, giving you a highly-flexible computer-controlled system of monitors and subwoofers.

Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) delivers focused nearfield sound

The 8351A studio monitor features Genelec's Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) with rounded edges and a gently curved front and sides. This allows the 8351A to achieve a very smooth frequency response and superb imaging qualities with minimized cabinet edge diffraction.

The 8351A studio monitor's innovative Minimum Diffraction Coaxial (MDC) driver provides extremely accurate imaging and sound quality, both on- and off-axis, vertically and horizontally. The 8351A's dual Acoustically Concealed Woofers (ACW) are hidden beneath its Maximised Directivity Controlled Waveguide (MaxDCW), which not only looks aesthetically pleasing, its extremely large waveguide produces controlled directivity over a very wide bandwidth, creating a massive "sweet spot." In short, the 8351A's coaxial drivers, when combined with its dual woofers, provide you with an incredibly accurate 3-way monitoring solution with smooth frequency response and a wide dispersion pattern.
