With the SP90-1 you get a vintage recreation of those famous late 1940s P90 single coil pickups.

Due to the wide bobbins within the pickup, the tonal character of these P90s is unique, with powerful midrange and higher output levels when compared to a standard Single Coil.

The SP90-1 sounds both sweet and smooth, perfect for those big fat sounding chords, and creamy melodic leads.

Custom 5 Bridge Humbucker

In the bridge position you'll find a fantastic Custom 5 Humbucker, also from Seymour Duncan.

This pickup is like a higher-output version of the classic SD '59 humbucker, and offers a more vintage, less distorted tone with a deeper bottom end.

Because of this tonal response, the Custom 5 is great for pretty much any kind of music, whether you play clean or dirty, and makes the perfect companion to the SP90-1.

Add to this the inclusion of a Push/Pull tone control that allows you to split the Custom 5 humbucker into a single coil pickup, and you have an even wider range of pristine tones at your disposal.
